There's a little creek by an apartment complex over off of Western Center Blvd. just on the east side of 35W. A friend of mine lived in the apartment and used to catch bass in there. At least that's what he said.

not sure about the bass, but a lot of people fish Marshall Creek (just south of Denton on 377) mainly Crappie there..Sandies can be good on Grapevine Lake, and of course once you have a boat, Lake Fork is not that far, World Class bass fishin'!

I'm not a bass fisherman, however, I do have a couple of friends that live and breath it.
You will be about 2 or so hours away from one of the best bass fishing lakes in the state / country. Look up Lake Fork. There are many lakes in the area so you will enjoy that.

If you ever travel south to the Guadalupe/ San Antonio River area, I'll show you some decent spots. We have some OK lakes down here. I do alot of spin fishing, but my real love is fly fishing, I'll teach you if you want.

hell that offer is open to anyone on the forum!

I live in Denton. What kind of fishing are you into? This is what I do in the way of fishing - http://texasflycaster.com/ . First thing you may want to consider is a State Parks Pass. Ray Roberts is a clean and uncrowded lake, while Lewisville is very crowded.

I am a basic bass fisherman. Never been fly fishing before.
